Echoes of Solitude

These works were created for the ‘Winston Oh Travel Award Exhibition’. This award is a grant given to students selected by the Faculty. As a receipt of this award under the category of Art Practice, I was required to undertake a visual-based research and produce a body of works, informed and inspired by a location of my choosing in Asia. The works are a collection of photographs that respond to my encounter with historical ruins. While attempting to capture the stories and history surrounding these ruins, I also reflect on the notion of place and memory through these documentations.
